There are rumours coming out of the Swiss League that David Aebischer may become a Winnipeg Jet. There is an offer from an NHL team, believed to be the Jets, which is a two-way contract. He told a Swiss newspaper he intends to attend training camp as well.
Aebischer has said that he wants out of his Swiss League team, HC Lugano, as they had signed a one-year contract with Benjamin Conz.
What I do know for sure is that Aebischer is good friends with Martin Gerber, so he may be following in Gerber's footsteps and become a starter for the Ice Caps as opposed to playing in the Swiss League.
We'll wait and see.
